YOWSA, I'm slack. How's it hangin folks? Good, good. Well since September you've missed... My dislocated shoulder (caused by Carly in a traffic jam), my trip to Ohio which rejuvinated my heart and obliterated my car, random trips including DC and lots of the OBX, my first experiences with teaching, shows shows and more shows, and umm... other stuff. But pictures say it best so here is my life since September, in pictures.

Pre-Shoulder dislocation at an Anberlin show with my friend Morgan and the "cowbell guy" from some random other band... Yeah all smiles but you just wait :P

And here we have post-dislocation. It was an accident really. And a strange one at that. Couldn't move it from that there 90 degree angle and you wanna talk about pain... Yeesh! Curse my funky joints!

En route to Ohio... Beautimous! If only the beauty would last..

Then my car died. Because it could. Poor thing.. Lasted so long too! I mean... Considering the way I operate.

100_6342

But we made it! Reunited with Alex, Jay and the whole crew.. Couldn't ask for more :) Meg, Emma, and Me below with our amazing matching hats:

Me and Jay Libby! aka my baaaayby

And the amazing Amish people we met on our bus voyage back home. TWENTY HOUR bus voyage, forgot that part. They're to the right up there... We couldn't be TOO obvious jeeze

n22208829_31444723_2780

And here we are on the side of the highway when one of our busses filled with smoke and we had to let it air out.. But I said "Press on Mister Bus Driver Man! We ain't afraid of no smoke! But we are afraid of never getting home!" So he pressed on. Smoke free.

Ah... What fun. Ok well here are some shots of when me and my sis went to visit Alex at his school in D.C.

The Department of the Interior... Just thought its lights were purty.

Me and my boo Alex waiting on the metro.. yeehaw

 my boo

The "limobus" I comandeered for us and about 30 others when I realized the buses had already stopped running. We bribed the driver ($2 a person) to diss his route and take us to the metro station.. Proud moment indeed

Back to the reality that is school where my main forms of entertainment are friends and music. Here we have a combo of the 2, me and Jenny Yann at a show @ ECU... 5 years and going strong :)100_6561

Oh I almost forgot Halloween where I was first Harry Potter then Hariette Potter then skankified kinda sorta something like Harry Potter. Here we go:

Harry Potter, Prisoner of Azkaban, and a dementor. Go team!

100_6146

Morphing to Harriette..

100_6185

And the final ensemble for the big night... Classy, I know lol But I figured I couldn't be the only roomie who didn't go all out...

100_6517

Back in the 'boro, Elle with one of our fav things in life: extravagant fountains!

100_6952

Good times, good times. Ok I'll wrap it up with me and the roomies this past weekend at the Outer Banks.

100_7088

Jockey's Ridge... Grand finale, so beautimous!

Heading to Ohio next week for the break.. Wish me luck! And pray my new car doesn't die. :D Happy Holidays and all that jazz!

smelly cat smelly cat

Hey! Wow, it has been forever. Well this is just to say that... School is going pretty well. No major complaints. Other than usual stress of.. college. Fridays and Mondays off this semester mean I get to go home once in a while which is a plus. And hopefully I won't have to get a job this year.. I mean I'll be working the rest of my life so I'd kinda like to lounge while I can.  I did start writing for ECU's paper along with my lovely Korri-Lee Smith. That's going alright... I'm no fantasmic writer or anything but it's a fun opportunity.  I was up until 5 writing my articles last night when they were due at 12. Yeah I should probably plan that better next week, eh? But at a whopping $10 an article, I can only take it but so seriously. I mean as long as I'm not a day late or anything, right?

Life apart from the scholastics is good as well. Lovin the roomies.. most of the time ;) and other friends are swell as well. As predicted, I'm going through severe Alex and Jay (Cedar Point) withdrawal but I talk to them on the regular so it's not totally hopeless.  Emma, Leslie, Carly, Alex and I will all be going up there Oct 20 so that'll be a nice vacation/reunion time. I just hate distance! Talked to Jay for a while last night and by the end of the convo I was more depressed than I was when it began... Oh well, I went through the same thing with Evan last year, it won't be so bad in the months to come. In November me and my sis are going to visit Alex in D.C. and hit up a Panic! at the Disco concert while we're at it. Then I'll just have to figure out another convenient time to go see my boys.. Too bad Jay is all the way in Chicago of all places. That's.. far. Midwest, that's like a foreign country.

And something that kinda disturbed me and reminded me that you never do know who you're dealing with: I read on a website a little while ago about a woman who killed her friend, cut the fetus from her womb, then went and drowned the friend's 3 children who were 7, 3, and 1 years old. The thing I don't get is that this crazy lady has 2 kids of her own so why was she after her friend's kids who she babysat all the time?? What in the world makes someone go that loco? I just don't get people. And I guess it's good that I don't, I don't want to understand someone like that.  I couldn't even kill an animal. Le sigh, folks is crazy.

Sorry for that morbidity.. Just something I read that made me ponder about this crazy place we live in. Now I'm off to bed cuz I'm home in Greensboro and don't want to sleep my last day here away tomorrow. So you folks have a good one and I will try to update more frequently. I know how you miss my enthralling entries.

I'm alive!

Helloooo out there. Well I will take this opportunity to update only because I am stuck alone at Emma's house for the next couple of hours... Yeah I forgot my keys in her purse and she's at work so I'm just gonna chiznill till she gets done. No biggie... But man I had my heart set on shopping at some Target! Up until this week they haven't had a Target in Sandusky, OH so I've been pretty deprived.  I've gone once the whole summer and that's when Alex, Jay and I went to Pittsburgh to visit Al's family.  It was a nice city, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Too bad we could only stay for 2 days.. Dern Cedar Point and their work ethics. Luckily I got my birthday week off though.. Partly for my bday and partly for a Teaching Fellows conference in Charlotte this weekend.  So yeah I'm the big 2-1 now... No big throw downs though don't get too excited. Leslie and I went to Carowinds on my actual bday and stopped at Urban Outfitters in Charlotte. Twas quite fun if you ask me but I'm sure that's not the average Joe's ideal way to celebrate a 21st.

But yeah Cedar Point is pretty cool... for the most part. I really like working on Top Thrill Dragster but the only drawback is having to stay so late when you close... We close at 10 but then the line is usually 30 mins to an hour long so we have to clear out the line then do our closing duties and then finally go home about an hour after everyone else lol. Oh well, at least my paychecks are guaranteed to be hefty. But I only have a month(ish) left so I'm doin alright.. I've made so many awesome friends this year that it's gonna be pretty tough to leave. Heck even leaving for a week was tough and I'm pretty eager to get back to see them.  Me and Leslie (and hopefully Emma and whomever else wants to) will go back up for a weekend in October so I'll get to see at least a few folks before the season is out. I'm especially gonna miss my Alex and my Jay, they're my two best friends there and I don't know how I'd be making it without em. They're amazing and I don't know what in the world I'm gonna do when I don't get to see them every day of my life. :( Dern CP, bringin folks together just to rip them apart a few months later. *tear*

That's about it in the life of Jenny... Roller coasters, gay boys, and farmers tans. Don't get much better than that!

I'm one slack updater. But you're used to this by now.  I'm so glad this semester is practically over but I'm not excited at what that represents: me entering my final year of school.  It's hard to imagine that in a year from now I will be graduating from college.. Considering how much has happened this year, I'm kind of excited and nervous to see what next year will bring.  It's always interesting to see how much things can change in a relatively short amount of time. Family, friends, work, it's just been one thing right after the other and I almost can't keep up with my own life sometimes lol.. I wouldn't really want it any other way though. Except for the bad changes, I could do without those.  I wish I could get rid of this stupid pride of mine.. It keeps getting in the way of my potentially awesome friendships. This was a great year and I wish someone in particular could have been there to share it all with me; and I their accomplishments and mishaps. But what's done is done and now things are better so at least I have the rest of my LIFE to look forward to. That's right, LIFE. I'm not screwin up again. That's my New Life's Resolution. To stop screwing up good things and taking them for granted. Sorry I got kinda vague there and you may have no clue as to what I am talking about- Moving on now..

Greensboro was great this past weekend.  Got to spend QT time with all my favs and actually catch up with my family (biological and extended lol).  Dyeing Easter eggs with Em and Jen was great.. Wish Elle Dawg could have attended. Stupid Burlington. It was also great to catch up with Emma's fam and hang out like the old days. Every time I go home these days it seems I'm so rushed I don't really get to just "chill" like I want.  Hopefully next semester I can go home more since I have no classes on Mondays or Fridays. I'm not sure where I'll be working but wherever it is they'll have to be cool with me working like one day a week haha. THAT will pay the bills, mhmm.

Emery and Anberlin show coming up in a few days..I'm so poor I'm not real sure how I'm getting there, maybe I'll just start walking and hope to get there before it's over lol.  Me and Carly are going together so that will be splendiferous.  I've got to protect her from the crazy hXc kids. Eek! Alright dearies, over and out.

p.s. really, i will post some pics soon!

I'm baaaaack

Sooo New York was fab! And to stress its fabulousness, I'm going to do something I've never done before: Post my pictures from the trip in less than 2 week's time! Mainly I have some procrastinating I need to do so this is just a great excuse to feed my habit lol. But yeah the trip was awesome... The first day we took a Sex and the City tour where this bus took us all around the city for 3 hours and we stopped at some of the places they used in the show, twas interesting. Free cupcakes, can't beat that. The first night we had the most awesome dinner, 11 courses people! I think that was the highlight of the trip for me haha. We had calamari, stuffed mushrooms, salad, shrimp scampi, broccoli, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken paremesan, manicotti, and 2 different desserts. Twas awesome!Thank goodness the Teaching Fellows paid for that one.

Friday morning all my friends got up at 3:30 to go see Tim McGraw on the Today Show but my happy butt stayed in bed. They got some awesome pics from that.  We did see a movie being filmed while we were on the S&C tour so that was pretty cool. The "fatty" from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was up in the mix so be lookin for it on ABC Family or something haha. Megan and Jenna ran into the guy from "Just Like Heaven" on the street and then me, Korri, and Dom saw some TV show guy walkin down the street... Dunno what show or his name but I knew his face by golly lol. So I thought that was funny, famous folks everywhere you turn!  Saturday we saw Rent and that was fun, Broadway is awesome. Wish we could have gone to see Wicked and a couple of other shows but ya know, that costs money lol.  We spent a lot of time in China Town tryin to get the roomies some cheap purses. Jenna got this awesome Coach bag for $30. It has the registration card for Coach.com and everything. Pretty sure it's illegal goods but hey what a deal! lol. Aaand that's about it.. Other than walking aimlessly around Times Square, accidentally going to Brooklyn on the subway, and harrassing as many NYPD for pictures as we could. Good times my friends good times. Unfortunately, the pics will have to wait cuz I'm being beckoned. Later, I'll get em up later! lol
